Metzler Corporate Finance advises on sale of PARAT Technology Group GmbH to senata GmbH

PARAT Technology Group GmbH (‘PARAT’) based in Neureichenau, Bavaria, has been acquired by senata GmbH (‘senata’). senata thus becomes the owner of PARAT's headquarters in Neureichenau as well as its international subsidiaries in Hungary, Romania and China. Metzler Corporate Finance acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the sellers in preparing and implementing a competitive international bidding process.

PARAT, based in Neureichenau, is a leading manufacturer of large-area composite materials for the end-user markets of caravans, agricultural and construction machinery. The internationally active producer of high-quality plastic cladding, with production sites in Germany, Hungary, Romania and China, employs around 1,000 people and generates annual sales of around 110 million euros. The acquisition will strengthen PARAT's strategic orientation.

senata is a family-run group of medium-sized industrial companies based in Freising and consists of 13 companies in the fields of mechanical engineering, components and materials. Most of the companies belonging to the senata group are located in Germany, with further sites in Spain, the UK and Italy. The group employs around 2,200 people and generates an annual turnover of around 600 million euros. This makes senata one of the 600 largest family-owned companies in Germany.
